family cruise

At the end of June my family went on a cruise for my sister's graduation present. I am just now getting around to posting a few pictures from our trip. The boat left out of New York, so we went a day early and spen the night there. Here is a picture of us in Time Square. Parker was exhausted by this point!

The cruise was so fun and the theme for the kids was Nickelodeon. So, guess who was there!! DORA!! Parker was beside himself, he was so excited to see her!!

The first morning we went to a dance party with Dora where they sang and danced to all of her songs.

The boat had a water slide and Parker absolutely loved it!!!
He always wanted to go down it with Daddy because he did all the fun stuff!

This is Parker on our balcony. He could not get over how much water there was! He was always looking for more boats and there was usually another cruise ship in the distance.

Parker was so good on the boat! We never even used the kids club (that is kind of like a babysitting service). Just wanted to share a few pictures from the trip!!
Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Exciting news!!

While we were on our family cruise, my younger brother asked his girlfriend to marry him.....and she said yes!! Her name is Katherine and she is the sweetest thing! The entire family loves her and we couldnt be happier for them! They already have a date set...October 2nd!

Tonight my mom, Kelsey (my sister) and myself went with Katherine, her mom and best friend to look at wedding dresses.

I am happy to report that she found a beautiful dress and we ordered bridesmaid dresses that are honestly sooo cute!!
I cant believe that Cory is getting married!

Dora!!

Yesterday Parker and I want to Story Time live at Robinson auditorium. There were four different shows from Nick Jr. but Parker's favorite was Dora. He was so excited when she came out!!

We with a group of people and Sydney was one of them. They sat next to each other and just had a blast!!

They got some light up toys at intermission.

Our group. Thanks Sarah for including us! I wouldnt know about all of this fun stuff if it werent for Sarah!
I have some exciting news that I will share in my next post!!

summer fun

This week has been great. It hasnt been too hot this week, so we have been able to play outside some.
Parker has been helping Daddy with some yard work.

This was hilarious! He was holding the water hose straight up and the water started falling all over him. He couldnt figure out where it was coming from. He started running around but never moved the water hose, so it just kept hitting him. So funny!!

We had our second swim lesson today. Parker remembered going under water on Tuesday and was not happy about having to do it again. He screamed for the first half of the lessons. I had THAT kid!! =) He got better as it went on. After swim lessons we went up to the awesome kids pool. So, that made everyone happy!

Parker wouldnt sit and Mallory and Tap were too busy playing to look up. oh well.

Hope everyone is having a good week!!

4th and swimming

We spent the holiday weekend at the lake. Parker is really loving the lake this year. He absolutely loves riding on the boat and also tubing is his new favorite activity. I didnt get any boating pictures because I was too busy learning how to ski =) I am paying for it today!!

On Sunday night we went to my grandparents lake house for dinner and fireworks.

My wonderful grandparents

They have a few jet skis, so Dennis and I played on them for a while. Parker kept asking to ride, so Dennis took him for a ride. Parker LOVED it and wanted to go faster! I will be honest, I was a little nervous, I wouldnt let Dennis go too far or too fast =)

Parker sat in my lap and watched the fireworks, He loved those too!! He clapped, and said "wow!" throughout the whole show.
And of course, he wanted to pose for a picture in his 4th of July pajamas!

Today, Parker started swim lessons. We are doing a mommy and me class since this is his first summer to really be in the pool. Mallory and Diane are also in the class! Parker did really good for his first time . He did cry when they made him go under water but I am sure he will get used to it by the end of the class (it is twice a week for 4 weeks).

Parker and Mallory after class.
I am so glad to be home this week! We went on a cruise last week and had a blast but it is just so nice to be home. I will post pictures from the cruise later this week.
