at the park

This weekend was very relaxing. It wasnt the prettiest weather but in between rain showers Dennis and I took Parker to the park. He is getting so big. This summer I would take him to the park and he couldnt really do much but now he runs around, climbs, and goes down the slides pretty much by himself!

CHEESE!! (this is what he has started doing when I say smile)

Im sure you noticed Parker's Razorback jersey. Well, the Razorbacks lost this weekend in a close game to Georgia. It was a great game and I am really excited for the season!

Big news and the Johnsons

Well, we have had a very busy week! Parker was sick for about 5 days with a very high fever and green drainage in his eyes. He did not have the flu but was a sick little boy! He is back at daycare and I am catching up on work and school.

Some big news....Parker has pee-peed on the potty three times! For the past couple of weeks I have been just sitting him on the potty to get him used to sitting on a big hole. At first he would scream and was so scared of it. The other day I sat him on it and said "go potty" and he peed!! I could not believe it! I have been sitting him on it in the morning, before nap and bedtime. I am by no means potty training him yet! I really dont think he is ready, but this is a huge first step. If he says "pee-pee" I will take him to the potty and see if he will go. He doesnt go everytime but sometimes. He is learning it from his new class at daycare, I think. If he starts showing signs of being ready we will jump in full force, but I just dont think we are there yet.
Last night Stephen, Sarah and Sydney came over for dinner. She is getting so big! She is so much taller than Parker! They had fun together but they both need lessons in sharing (that's an almost two year old for you!)
Sydney wanted to get in the car with Parker. I wanted to get a picture, but it is so hard to get two toddlers to smile at the camera at the same time!!
here is one of Parker smiling
Here is one of Sydney smiling!!
Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend. I will be cheering on my Razorbacks on Saturday when they play Georgia!!

Razorbacks and Labor Day

It has taken me forever to post about our weekend. It was a relaxing weekend with lots of good food! There will be a lot of pictures....
Here is Parker on his first day going to his new "big boy" class at school.

On Saturday we bought the Razorback game on PPV and had some friends over. I am jus so glad that it is football season! and I am really happy that the Hogs won!!

I could not get Parker to smile! I just love his Razorback jersey!

Of course, Parker had to kiss the huge Razorback!
On Sunday, we went to my grandparents lake house in Hot Springs for a day at the lake and a cookout. Dennis and I rode jet skis while Parker took a long nap in the house. I am SOOOO sore! We had so much fun and I did a pretty good job at keeping up with Dennis!

Me and my dad

My mom got Parker this really awesome tent at Rhea Lana on Saturday (if you have never been, it is a kids consignment sale...just wait til you see Parker's halloween costume that I got!!!)

Me and my two sisters
On Monday, Dennis went to work on his deer stand at his deer camp. It is almost hunting season! Me and Parker went up there for a few hours. Dennis took Parker up into his deer stand.

You can kinda see he wasnt that happy. It was the beginning to his sickness. Parker is really sick!! It got really bad last night with a 102.5 fever! He has been thowing up and just does not feel good. He did get tested for the flu today and it came back negative, PTL!! Also, Parker is getting tubes next month becaue he has had 6 ear infections since May. We have alot going on! I will try to post soon. Right now i have to focus on getting my sweat boy well!!

Mrs "A", big boy class and school

Since I was born Mrs. "A" (that's what everyone calls her!) has kept me in the church nursery, after school care and has also kept Parker in the nursery and Mothers Day Out. Well, Mrs. "A" is retiring and Sunday there was a reception to celebrate and thank her for all of her years of service. She truely is like a grandmother to me and I just love this wonderful Christian lady.
Here is Mrs. "A", Parker and me
Isn't she so cute. She always has a story to tell and a hug to give! She knows every child's name and always has a smile on her face! I know I will still see her all the time but I am kinda sad that Parker wont get to grow up with Mrs "A" as his teacher, like I did.

This week, on Sept 1st, Parker moved up to the two year old class at preschool!!! He isnt two yet but they need some room in his class so they moved up the 3 most developed kids. I cant believe that Parker is one of the "oldest" acting kids in his class! So, now Parker is in a class with 2 year olds and he looks so little but they said he is right in the middle of them playing and is keeping up great! I am still kinda nervous because this class is where they start POTTY TRAINING! I know Parker isnt ready for that yet but it is scary to know that he is so close!! Potty training him might be a little tricky due to the fact that he is taking Lasix (Lasix is a diuretic and it makes you have to pee-pee :) ). We will definitely take it slow when we know he is ready.

Also, this week is my 3rd week in nurse practitioner school. WOW! Its hard and sometimes I question why I am doing this. I am starting to get the hang of it and I really do like it. Please pray for me. It isnt easy with a toddler at home!

I also have another prayer request....Parker has an appointment at the ENT next week to evaluate him for tubes. I havent really blogged about it much, but this summer has been one constant ear infection. He has been diagnosed with 6 ear infections since the end of May! We just finished another round of antibiotics and he actually seems to be feeling pretty good this time. I will be ok if he needs tubes, but of course I will be a little nervous about the actual procedure. His will probably be a little different because of his heart defect. I will let yall know what they say.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.....
I am sooooo excited about Razorback football this weekend! Fall is finally here!!

GO HOGS GO!!
