tubes are in!!!

Parker has had about 8 ear infections since May. We decided to get tubes at the end of August. Our Cardiologist wanted the Cardiac anesthesiologist to be in on the surgery so we had to wait until the ENT's and CV anesthesia's schedules matched up. So.....Parker finally had his tubes surgery yesterday. Everything went great!! Parker had fun playing and watching cartoons while we waited for all of the pre-op stuff to be done.

We LOVE our anesthsia guy, he is the same one that was with Parker during his heart surgeries. Even though he looks like he is 12 years old!! He is an amazing doctor and he is great with Parker!!
Here is Parker after he got the "happy" medicine!! He couldnt walk straight and he could not stop giggling!!!

Parker woke up as happy as can be and we were home by 10:30. He did start having some troubles when we got home with the medicine. He was so loopy from the drugs that he couldnt walk but he wanted to, so he just whined!! I think he felt really weird from the medicine. I couldnt get him to take a nap until 5:30 that evening. Once he had a nap and slep off that medicine he has been great!! Hopefully, no more ear infections!! Thanks for all of the prayers!

Family Trip

My family goes to Disney World every year and I havent been able to go in a long time!! This year we decided that we would go at the last minute. I was so excited for Parker to have this opportunity!! We had so much fun and Parker was fantastic!
The first night we were there we went to Downtown Disney and ate at T-Rex. There is a place for kids to "dig" for dinasour bones while you wait. Parker loved it!!

The next day we went to MGM. Parker played on the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground.

After we got home I took him to the doctor and he has a horrible ear infection...poor little guy. Parker is getting tubes in his ears on Monday. I cant wait!!! I know it is a small procedure but anytime Parker gets anesthesia I get nervous. Have a great weekend!!

Cardiology update

Parker had his Cardiology appointment this morning. All of the nurses couldnt believe what a little man he has turned into!! The appointment was great. The Dr said he cant see him having his next surgery until he is about 4 years old!!! I am so glad he wont be having it anytime soon, but I also want to get it over with!!

The only thing they mentioned was his weight. He has gained less than a pound since we were there five months ago! He weighed 21.4 lbs this time. The nutritionist came and spoke with us. She gave us some trips to add fat and calories to his food. Now we just have to make sure Dennis and I dont get start eating more calories!!

Anyways, just wanted to post a quick update. Now it's time for me to go pack....we are leavng for Disney World tomorrow!!!

Anniversary and pumkin patch!!

This weekend Dennis and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary! My parents kept Parker while we went out to eat and to a movie. It was so nice!

I told Dennis all I wanted for Christmas was a nice camera. So, he got it for me for our anniversary!!! He said he wanted me to be able to take Thanksgiving and Christmas pics with it. Happy Anniversary and Merry Christmas to me!!!

On Sunday we went to the pumkin patch. I was so excited because Parker could actually walk around pick out his own pumpkin this year! We have had rain non-stop for about a month, just look at one side of the pumkin patch.....

Prayer request....Parker goes for his Cardiology check up on Wednesday. Yall know I get nervous everytime he goes and it has been over 5 months since we have gone!!!

Nothin much

I dont really have much to blog about. Things have been busy but nothing fun! I just finished my 20 page paper, that is due next week, it is being critiqued by a teacher as we speak. It feels good to have that finished (almost). School and work is pretty much all I have been doing.

Well, I did go see sweet Mallory yesterday!!

She is just the best baby!! Hardly ever cries and is sleeping really good! I had to sneak a bow from Mallory's room and sneak it on her head for this picture!! Her mommy just isnt into bows the way I am. Good thing Mallory has me to make her "girly"!!

And, of course, here is my sweet little guy!! Having a blast in the bath tub.

He is still doing great using the potty. Still not potty training in full force yet but I think he will be more than ready when I get up the courage to do it!!
